  • Types of Cottons - Tap For Tips

    Our goal isn't customer satisfaction... it's customer JOY!  So here's a quick guide to help you pick the tees best for your personal tastes.


    • Combed Ring-Spun Cotton (Premium Quality): Cotton that has gone through a spinning process (see ring-spun below) for increased softness and comfort plus an additional combing process to remove impurities. Akin to premium quality soft tees sold in fashion stores. Used independantly or with other fabrics to create a soft, light and premium feel.
    • Ring-Spun Cotton (High Quality): Cotton that has gone through a spinning process that makes it much softer to the touch akin to high quality tees sold in department stores. Used on its own or with other fabrics to create a soft light feel. 
    • Cotton (Standard & Budget Quality): Comfortable but typically heavier weight and not as soft to the touch as ring-spun or combed ring-spun cotton. Often used in custom promotional goods. 
    • Weights: Less ounces (oz) = A lighter (and often softer) feeling garment.
